Highlights of this project: This logistically and architecturally challenging build is located along a narrow driveway within a Conservation area. The stunning external finish was completed with charred timber cladding, zinc roofing and high specification smart roof lights with integrated shutters. Built to Passivhaus principles exceptional insulation and airtightness performance was a key element, we achieve this with an insulated raft foundation, ICF ground floor and SIPs habitable roof space with exposed glulams. The unique design maximised open living space and natural light to promote a sense of openness from the moment you enter the open double height vaulted entrance.
